Probable cause for suspicion 2

------------------------

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils - 1 Timothy 4 : 1
-----
I would like to hear a better example than the doctrine that is described herein ... if this is not the case.
-----
I'm putting up an old booklet from the late pastor Sheldon Emry. This post is bound to attract rock throwers like none other, even though it answers many questions that many have been sure to have. I've posted several questions in posts past, on other forums and blogs ... but one would think I was questioning the divinity of Christ Himself. Yes, when "the devil" is given almost equal billing with Christ inasmuch as he is always mentioned and exalted (yes you do by touting his works) - then you have a false god.
-----
I had never heard of this Downey fellow that has received so much flak ... I still have never read any of his material. But the arguments in support of some supernatural, wicked being do not hold up under scriptural scrutiny. I wont include all relevant scripture here and now (not that I think that any additional ones would cause the diehards to readily give this doctrine up anyhow), but I will have more posts to follow. Although it might be a bit long, I hope your search will lead you to consider this. This is to wet the whistle. So, if you're of the mind to copy 'n paste, booger it up with taunts - say I'm a disrupting infiltrator, whatever ... but what does the Word say.
-----
Let me ask this right off though - if you are to take Revelation literally (speaking of this rebellion in Gods Heaven) ... why did God not see it coming and prevent it ? Could it possibly happen again ? What does this mindset have to say as far as God having a handle on matters ? That same chapter in Revelation speaks of a man child born in Heaven also. What's up with that ? The blasphemy is NOT in my so saying - it is in the twisting that has gone on.
-----
Blessings vs. curses (good vs. evil). The whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commandments. Where does God need a "devil" ?
----
To shorten this up, I'll list (as opposed to spelling them out) several scriptures and if you care enough to investigate, you can look them up. There is no discrepancy in James 1:13 and those quoted for Hebrews. The act of being tempted and succumbing to it are not one and the same. Christ overcame and so can we ... through Him.

Deuteronomy 32:39-43
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Mark 7:14-23
James 1:14-15
Hebrews 2:9-18

Where do these satanists get their "backing" to support such a concept as this devil ? From the judaized churches.

We are often castigated that scripture plainly states thus and so. Well, if there is any twisting going on, it is plainly shown in Isaiah 14.

The word "Lucifer" is used once in the Bible and it clearly shows to whom it is addressed. Vss. 4 - 16

King of Babylon - man.

Now you know Jeff, we will not enter into a debate on this issue. It is not worth it. I respect you for posting this, I really do. All issues and sides must be discussed, but it is one you and I will not endeavor. You are too precious to me and we are agreement on all other things, so I think we can let this one go. That is not to say I would not intently listen and consider other points and counterpoints. I am here to learn above all else.
Love ya,
Joy

That all potential sides might truly be considered is why I have posted these last few posts Joy.

I see no reason why we should butt heads here online over what I say either - it is the scripture that we should all be striving to understand.

And if I stand wrong, I trust and pray that God will correct me ... for indeed my search never ends.

Ultimately it really doesn't matter what our viewpoint of each other is (as far as determining who is correct on all issues or not), for we will each stand singly before God. We all just try and help one another as we presently see best to do.

Love ya too sister of mine. May Gods blessings and mercies ever be bestowed upon ya.
