" ... wise as serpents ... "

" Behold , I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves , be ye therefore wise as serpents , and harmless as doves ." - Matthew 10 : 16 , 32 - 34 / Proverbs 1 : 1 - 7

Christ was simply stating matters as they were ( are ) . You , my sheep , will be dealing with some unsavory sorts .... use your head and common sense ! Look up the meanings of these words , use your concordance and get serious about understanding .

harmless / meaning - innocent , unmixed , simple .

wise as serpents / meaning - through the idea of cunning , thoughtful , practical , cautious .

Those who twist scripture to ridicule God or the Bible will continue to do so . They will not make an honest study of what we declare to be true Christianity versus this internationally , PC acceptable version . Well , so be it .

But for those who believe , those not daunted by the sneers and smears , those who hunger and thirst after righteousness - Luke 12 : 32 / John 3 :
3 - 13 / Proverbs 25 : 2
