Feel like I need to throw a few words out for our ma's too. Mine in particular was very long suffering and forgiving ... I know 'cause I was that thorn in her side for so long. God also was patient with me and allowed me, after quite a few hard knocks to "see the light", rectify my wayward ways and have many good years with her as a loving son should.
As I quoted in a poem written back when I was 22 -
"For raising me like a mother should
Implanting in me your church - learned best ,
So to live right one day I would
A motherly love no one could contest ."

Proverbs 22 : 6 -
Train up a child in the way he should go : and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Ma ... yer prayers were not in vain.

Mamma always tries to do what's best for your children. I love that song by Merle!
I can tell you were close to your mom and miss her. We all have given our mothers grief and disappointments but they never loved us any less. God bless 'em!
Like you said in a post comment a while back man ... where would we of been without a good ma in our lives ?
Hope the younger folk in particular don't miss the main message - don't take yer parents or grandparents for granted. All too soon they can be taken and leave you with nothing but memories ... and will they be good ones ?
