Staying the course

I'm certain that I would not be alone in saying that I absolutely long for the total destruction of this world wide satanic system over us - it is rotten and despicable to the core. We are not in need of band aid solutions or party reforms ... the slate must be wiped clean, start to finish. Our problem is not one of republican versus democrat, nor of libertarian or other free will thinking. We don't need constitutional reform either. When you're trying to get back to God, why make it a half way journey ? If God and His Word are not the bedrock, the ultimate authority and goal we seek ... then we merely tread water waiting to drown.
......
I remember quite a few years back when my eyes were first opened - man, I was ready to get with the program and put some pedal to the metal. Let's get some dust to slinging and be quick about it ! Let's get this cleansing party started. Now, there's nothing wrong with that "let's get it right" attitude, but I've come to realize it's a matter of timing. Gods timing. We don't get to call the shots or the sequence of matters. One must also understand that without repentance first and foremost, all resistance against the beast will be futile. And one realizes this once the bigger picture is grasped. Think too of the fella who has never had the opportunity as of yet to hear the Word - were we not in his shoes also at one time ? But for the grace of God ...
......
As much as we may doubt or scoff at such a statement as this - God remains in control. He is in control of the destroyer that works against us and He alone decides when enough is enough. Like it or not, He is still the great I Am ... the Creator and King of all. The fact of the matter being that He does NOT need us to help Him make things aright again when He declares the time for an end. But if duty so calls for this, will you be ready ? And I speak of the mental preparation/grasp of that scenario also.
.......
Many righteous and fervent prayers are lifted to Him from the faithful daily, not just crying out for our own sufferings but for the many across the lands scattered around the globe. Some expect instantaneous results and lose faith or turn blasphemous when things don't turn out as planned. We should pray for faith to endure, strength to carry on, His spirit to guide and help us in all things.
......
Our prayers do not fall on deaf ears and His anger at His people will not always be so. We must all seek a closer walk with Him and encourage each other in like vein. We must make the most of witnessing to our kinfolk and make use of the time that is left - for there comes a time when He will no longer beckon us to repentance ... and the "Ark's" door will be closed. At one point in time or another, all will have heard the call and will then have to live with their decisions.
......
I'm praying and hoping that we as a remnant can draw ever closer to one another in this upcoming year, learn to reason together and realize that we will none come to a full understanding apart from His return. I speak foremost of myself - let's try and be more patient with one another. Let's all re evaluate what is truly important in life and turn loose that which is dross. Downsize and prepare for rougher days. Prepare for the obvious signs of what is about us. May Christ in His mercies be with us all and grant His hard hearted people repentance so that they will return unto the fold.

Great post, Jeff. The last paragraph especially, I hope, will resonate with all who read it the way it did with me.

I am thankful for the wisdom and new insights that you've brought to me since I've been ruining your reputation by coming here.haha

Even in these dark days, I hope that 2010, on a personal level, will be a good one for you.

Thanks RM for your kind words and well wishes. Of course I wish the same for you 'n yours in this upcoming year that may indeed be one of great happenings.

Ha ! You put no taint on any "reputation" I may have man, and I'm sure there are those who are convinced I do a stand up job of shooting myself in the foot all by my lonesome. You are always welcomed here and I appreciate your input.

If I'm in possession of anything helpful it is only because someone at some point passed it on to me - by Gods grace, and I hope others may so benefit, as likewise I try to send it on down the line.

Good post. We must be ready, for the time to smite our enemies is nigh. I find it interesting that on the last day of the decade, the Moon was blue and in eclipse. Very rare indeed. Is the Moon spoke of in a prophetic sense in the bible? A sign perhaps?

Happy New Year. I think this is going to be another interesting one for our people.

Jeff ( Va. Rebel ) said...

Happy new year to you also Orion. I know the Bible speaks of signs and wonders in the skies and heavens but I reckon it all depends on our outlook as to what has already been accomplished in the Word.

I think it is still indicative of coming times too but what do I know ... being an apostate hillbilly without a clue.

Not ragging on you man - these are some days of intense study on my part to get to what is indeed Truth.

I hear ya. Keep up the study. I hope it is indicitive of the times, I don't want to pass away without ever getting off a shot!

And remember, it's not hillbilly, it's redneck :) Both are fine titles though, I consider myself a redneck, since they ain't no hills out here on the plains, just bluffs!

Hi Jeff,

Just dropped by to wish you and your family a Happy New Year. I started the New Year developing a new blog. Its not much but it keeps me busy. So far its mostly jokes and sarcasms. Eventually I will personalize it... Take care sweetie!

A2Z - hey ! Long time no "see" !

I put out a couple APB's (all points bulletin) on you several times to see if you ever heard anything else from Maple, or where her blog was. I had lost it.

I recently managed to locate it and it's probably just as well I didn't have it. Don't believe she has posted since like August.

Think one of her next to last posts was about that evil racist blogger who pestered her so bad
(hee ! hee ! I wasn't that bad a chap, now was I ?). She deleted all my comments anyhow.

Hey - both me and you tried to help her and there was no hatred involved, just sound reasoning. Wonder how life is going in JoBurg these days ?

Best to you 'n yours. God be with you too.

Hey Cleveland - good to see ya, thanks for stopping by. Wishing the best for you 'n yours also.

We must all strive to "jump onboard" Christ this new year at hand and make the most of the time allotted. Working as if it were our last. He is indeed our inspiration & hope.

Indeed Jeff. We must realize that our situation as a people is a direct result of our disobediance to YHWH. If we are obedient, we will be protected, blessed, and prosper...while if we are disobedient, we will be cursed, enslaved, and oppressed.

Deuteronomy 28 ( verses 1- 14 describe the blessings promised through obedience ... 15 - 68 the curses for disobedience)

YHWH is merely USING and ALLOWING the Edomite Jews to punish us. We are really at war with YHWH when we are disobident.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." —2 Chronicles 7:14

Jeff ( Va. Rebel ) said...

Hey brother - figured you were on the road for awhile. Rode by yer digs several times and the camp fire was cold.

Ahh .. another servant just like me who thinks that indeed the old testament still has that which is profitable for our learning.

We need the whole of the message you have delivered here, but I wonder how many have considered this portion -

"If my people, which are called by my name .."

This shows a favoritism, a selection. I know many have considered this "by my name" to mean those termed as Christian.

But is not the Word and His Name synonymous ? Who is called by the Word -

Isaiah 48:12
Amos 3:1-2
Romans 8:28
Revelation 17:14

Thanks for the input LW.
