The 1920's and 30's

Anyone got an idea who this lovely lil gal is ? Title gives a bit of a hint .
These were some hard scrabble times ... dust bowl days .

Whether the activity they found themselves caught up in was always of a justifiable nature , who are we to say some 70 or 80 years down the road . We know history has a way of being modified to go along with the program .

But there was a spirit across the land then , as in the days of Jesse James and his cohorts . There was a national crisis at hand , for the working man anyhow . There was support and even a romanticizing of the efforts of these outlaws and rebels amongst the people . They knew something was afoot ... some better tuned in than others as to who the guilty parties were and what they were up to . The memories of those valient enough to strike the beast live on . Those who plundered the land and the people to this day suck our lifes blood . Do you see a dust bowl heading our way ?

I should of posted their ages - Clyde was 25 and Bonnie 23 .

Made the mistake of renting that Brad Pitt " Jesse James "
movie about a month ago . Should have known better .

Finally checked out
that Apocalyptic flic or whatever it was . The action was good , the hero came thru ... but all during it I was singing my version of " bring me my machine gun " !

Many decades ago as a young lad at school I was somewhat obsessive about that period of American history. So much so I was known by pals as Al Capone. I wrote an essay about Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow.

There are some nice color pictures of the two at kossecafe.com Bonnie Parkers epitaph is very moving.

I enjoy your posts immenselyThat one on the drug bust, I have never seen so much money together in one place, my eyes nearly popped out.
This one on Bonnie and Clyde is also excellent. I cannot help to think what motivated them to persue such a life, maybe the harsh times they lived under, but it certainly rocketed them into fame.
Keep them comming we love it.
