The camps couldn't beat him ...

Alexander Solzhenitsyn has passed on . The things his eyes must of seen . The pain his heart certainly felt . The sufferings that some would willingly , and even enthusiastically , inflict upon another human being . The evil beast he and many others have warned us about for years , in whichever tenacle of whatever society ... still exists . I hope many others have enjoyed and taken his works to heart .
( has anyone else read the book by Alexander Dolgun - An American in the gulag - ? )

Today was the first time I have heard of this man. I don't know anything about him, and most of the info I found online is in German, which would be a real bitch to translate

I think I have most of his published works , excepting public speeches and such . His archipelago's are a bit lengthy but worth the read . I'll try and dig up more pertinent info .

I never understood why he went back to Russia
( in the 90's ? ).
Reckon it's the call to familiar territory .

Off the top of my head , I believe he was of some rank in an artillery division . Very smart fella , mathmetician intellect .

They will get more efficient though , and more crowded , as further " dissidents "
are culled from the populace . Most folks haven't a clue what's in the works .

'preciate yer visit man .
