I'm supposing that I'm not the only one who has spent quite a bit of time in days past studying our " glorious " constitution . Reading the original writings of our forefathers , getting into their mindsets . The tone they set in their individual wordings put forth the widespread belief that they were indeed Christians and men of upright character .

So ... just where did the rot set in ? For a nation whose bedrock was founded on the principles of Christianity , belief in and subservience to Christ - they sure missed the mark . Here was their chance to glorify God , to set in stone His glorious Name and expound on His Word in this important document that would be subjected to scrutiny for all time . How hard of a task could it of been ?

So what 's with the terminology - Higher Power , the Deity , the Supreme Being ? In so many ways they left so much unsaid , too many doors left open that could ( did ) lead to misconstruction , redefining and misdirection . And not only in a correct relationship with our God but other areas as well .

I've spent some time in days past trying to " get out of this system " . Some may of traveled this road also - recision of SS number , withdrawal from their corporate entity , etc. etc. I'm convinced it 's just another avenue they allow us to waste time and energies upon for it's all to no avail . God has a much easier and fool proof way to accomplish this . But how many want to do it His way ?

I used to parrot those same lines also - well , the constitution is based upon Gods law , it's a Christian document , ad nauseum .

Oh really ? Wherein is mentioned Gods law ? Where is the glorification of Christ / His kingdom and acknowledgement of the identity of the key players of the Bible ( they knew more than we today of these facts ) ? God does not need a proxy , His Word can stand alone . I too used to think it almost blasphemous to speak against the constitution in any way that wasn't uplifting it . Why are we so quick to get riled at critique over this man made instrument , but let the Word of God be trampled at will ? Who do we really look to as a god ? We really need to reconsider our priorities and take another honest look .

Anything that is not derived from God and His ways is idolatry . Be it this document or any of the political " saviours and deliverers " we look to for our " salvation ". Why do we think they fight so hard for separation of church and state ? We will follow someones rule of law - what has mans done for us ?

In typical double minded fashion , we pray for Christs kingdom on earth but we disallow Him as king . We destroy His law .
We relegate Him to the area of a feel good placebo , a nicety for the social gatherings we call churches . There will be no changes of a lasting and healing nature until we realize our errors ( repent ) and admit our towers of Babel are ALL due to implode .

Here's one book that will give a good start , one of quite a few . I hope there are many who have enough of the spirit of the diligent truth seeker to peruse these matters . Once we get over the initial blow to our pride and misconceptions , it's hard to imagine we never saw these things before -
