You may have seen me link in on your counter from Gauteng SAfrica. I like the flag. It is not for nothing that He told his disciples to sell their coat and buy a sword. We live in perilous times and cannot take our freedom lightly. I don't know about you, but we're getting to the stage where we cannot trust the police at all. It seems like the few bad apples have indeed spoiled the whole barrel.
I'll check in from time to time. I have you book marked here so you should see a lot more of me.

Yer daggone right about Christ COMMANDING His disciples to GET A SWORD ( FN FAL of their day ) . AND ...
He told them to teach us all things He commanded them .
Yep , that's not a sporting sword , it's not a decoration for hanging on the wall .
It's a means of survival , a bloody means at that , that He said we would have need of . Our Commander gave the OK - so much for the effeminate image some portray . They know not our Christ .
I heard a preacher talking one time , believe it was Pastor Pete ( Scriptures For America link ). The subject was gun
( sword ) control
( which by the way they had in Biblical days too - nothing new under the sun ).
He was speaking of Peter , who took the swing at the Roman soldier(s) who came to arrest Christ . Note that he cut his ear off . Note that Christ DID NOT admonish Peter for having a sword ... nor for using it in severe manner
( only that now wasn't the time , as Christ had a mission to fulfill ) .
Note the probable angle of his swing - if it was a straight vertical assault , it would of probably cleaved the fella in two . But his ear was lopped off .
I believe he fully intended to remove the guys head and he ducked just in time
( well , so much for the ear though ! )
Can't remember if it was you who commented on folks qualms about getting serious and investing some money in self defense means or who did . BUT I HEAR YA MAN !
I've been thoroughly amazed over the years at the pure junk and foolishness people will spend fortunes on . Nothing wrong with having some nice things and petting on yer woman and family ... but where's the priorities ?! They live in a fantasy world .
This is the same crowd that will wake up too late , crying and pleading for help . No guns , no supplies , no clue .
One must look after their own families first ( but of course we'll help where we can , it'll just be the magnitude of the needy - too many ).
Also , they will be applying for a crash course in understanding the Bible and how it affects/involves/ applies to us .
There will not be time enough , nor a suitably peaceful atmosphere conducive to learning - nor will Gods mercy extend forever .
Most don't realize that all these sentiments , all our doings , have occurred before . Most of what I say in general topics can be backed up with scriptural proof . It's all happened before , and continues the same .
We are the people of His Word .

Yes , the time has about arrived that ANYONE serving this beast system will be suspect beyond any hope of trusting .
They are servant to another master . Perhaps grudgingly , perhaps unknowingly but none the less bound by that paycheck that feeds and provides for them and family . It's a vicious cycle .
We were warned long ago - if only we had of put half as much emphasis and diligence into studying His Word as all the other junk we clutter our minds and lives with .
Yep , friendship and trust are hard bought - hard earned .
I believe there are still good'uns out there ( I believe our recent commentor , although formerly employed , to be of good heart )... but the ball of " YOU convince me yer OK " is now in their court . And it will be a tuff sell .
We must be wary , we must be alert , we must be resourceful .
