If facing down, like hes got the victim pinned, a boot to the neck or throat, or a very hard punch to the area where the neck joins the skull. Being that u cannot say where the attack will happen , one will have to be resourceful , with whatever is available , ideal tho would be a baseball bat or 5 pound hammer. Gotta be careful tho , some of those terrs are big b*stards and can take some beating.
I once saw a villian high on grass, take a shellacking with a baton , only to stand there and look at you as if you were crazy!!!!...

I dont claim to be an expert, and when someone does I tend to be wary of them. What I do know is , that some who talk big , loose thier grandose swingers when the melon hits the fan. Ive seen some very big men cry , or dead.
Sometimes when I give honest advice, people diss me, even insult, say its too "bland" etc, somehow expecting a rambo/hollywood scene. Most violent encounters last like 2 seconds, not the long dragged out shooting scenes of the movies, where a revolver can fire 15 rounds without reloading...........
In my case it slightly dragged on cause
a) the 45 was in the safe and i had to make do with what I had
b) there were 5
c) they positioned themselves at distant points on the property (2acres total, area of attack about 2000 sq metres.
d) The inicial gunfight (against the 2 sappers) lasted aprox 1.5 -2 seconds and six shots in total. 5 mine one thiers.....
e) I had to then go and ward of the rest, at least distract thier area of attack (away from my family) and took the battle to the outside opposite of the property. It worked, one chased me a bit from a distance, but when he saw me crouching and ready to fire, decided he would prefer to see the sunrise again and bolted out of the area in record time.
f) cause i was fast asleep, and was somehow over relaxed and assuming.....
I am an ex-cop, before 1994 and slightly after, I felt safer then , even tho cops were getting shot like flies, than what I do being a civvy now, its really gone downhill, and most folks arent exaggerating the situation.

Yeah , I think I can understand how you say some don't appreciate or understand what the good cop or soldier must do . My 2 uncles who were in the Vietnam war wont talk of it much .
To get anything accomplished , hard decisions must be made ... and ACTED upon . Without remorse or hesitation . The upkeep of proper law is not that hard to understand .
I hope I never come across as a wanna be Rambo sort . I understand the folly and often the lack of committment with that mindset .
I ( we ) just get mighty pissed off these days and want to be of some assistance . If you can't march off to help yer brothers , then you do what you can - be it encouragement online or whatever .

The sh** hits the fan so fast you hardly have time to think , besides knowing that u are not wrong, I can gaurantee , this is the time when your training and instinct kicks in, it almost seems to flow automaticly with textbook borishness. If you had good training and practise you will live to tell the tale and not the criminal.
Many a good folk have died because of hesitation, biggest weakness of good law abiding citizens.. as well as affability.

Its human nature to want a cosy life... we want to live in a normal world without danger.....
not possible tho in some of these places...
